New Wide Receiver Offer Discovers Connection At WVU

The WVU football coaching staff extended an offer Wednesday morning to one of the top wide receiver prospects in the 2018 class in Joshua Moore. While learning about the WVU football program, Moore found out that WVU coach Tyron Carrier and himself had a bond much more than football.

Moore, a 6’1 170 lbs. wide receiver from Yoakum (TX), discovered that he is related to Coach Carrier, who is the wide receiver coach at WVU. While the bond between the two seems to be an instant connection, the offer from WVU is a big one for Moore. “This is a big offer for me. Coach Carrier and I had a great conversation and we actually discovered that we are related. I was able to learn things about WVU and a few things caught my attention. I can’t wait to get to Morgantown for a visit.”

Moore had a successful season as a sophomore at Yoakum that saw him record 22 receptions for 368 yards with 4 touchdowns but he wasn’t limited to just playing wide receivers. Moore also had 203 yards rushing and 196 yards passing so there is no denying his athleticism which is why teams from all around the country are offering him.

Moore holds offers from over 20 programs including Baylor, Florida State, Houston, Michigan State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, TCU, Texas, Texas A&M, UCLA, and now the Mountaineers.
