No. 12 WVU falls at Kansas State

MANHATTAN, Kan.–Cartier Diarra tied a career high with 25 points as Kansas State knocked off No. 12 West Virginia for its first Big 12 win this season on Saturday afternoon.

Xavier Sneed added 16 points and Dujuan Gordon picked up a career-high 15 points.

The Wildcats (8-9, 1-4 Big 12) went up by as many as 23 but a 15-0 run by the Mountaineers (14-3, 3-2) cut the lead to eight in the second half.

WVU cut the deficit to six but Kansas State pulled away once again.

Miles “Deuce” McBride and Chase Harler each scored 11 points for the Mountaineers. Gabe Osabuohien added 10.

The Mountaineers had 18 miscues, leading to 28 points for the Wildcats.

WVU returns home against Texas on Monday night.
