Sources have confirmed that Tom Bradley has officially been hired as the next defensive coordinator at UCLA. News broke late last week that Bradley’s name had been submitted to the UCLA administration for vetting and approval by Bruins head coach Jim Mora.

Tom Bradley was hired by WVU in February 2014 as the Senior Associate Head Coach/Defensive Line Coach. Bradley leaves after only season at WVU and with one year remaining on his contract. There is no timetable for an official announcement from UCLA but sources have stated that he will be on campus Tuesday.

With the departure of Bradley WVU head coach Dana Holgorsen has yet another opening on his staff for the 2015 season. With 5 defensive coaches it is assumed he will hire an offensive coach to replace Shannon Dawson who left for the University of Kentucky after the Liberty Bowl this past season. Although, that coach may not be an offensive coordinator.

According to itinerary for the upcoming WVU coaches clinic Bradley was slated to be the special teams coordinator this coming season. This will be the first time Bradley has coached west of the Mississippi in his 35 year coaching career.
