Players use Twitter to express importance of mask wearing in hopes of football season

Morgantown, W.VA. – While much of the 2020 college football season is still up in the air, one thing is for certain: student-athletes have used the 2020 coronavirus pandemic as a way to become more vocal on social media. Several West Virginia football players have used their social media accounts to share the importance of staying home, social distancing and mask wearing to their fans with the desire to have a football season as the outcome.

These are just a few of the Mountaineers using their social media platforms for good, but one Mountaineer in particular had us truly laughing out loud at his video. Redshirt junior offensive lineman Michael Brown is notorious for his funny social media videos, and his mask-wearing post does not fall short.

Thank you Michael Brown, and the rest of the Mountaineers for reminding us all to wear a mask and do our part. We can’t wait to watch the Mountaineers light up the field hopefully this September.

Wear your mask. Do your part.

Let’s go Mountaineers!
