Former Mountaineer wide receiver Stedman Bailey was fined by the NFL this week as a result of his touchdown celebration against the Arizona Cardinals this past Sunday.
After receiving an 18 yard touchdown catch Bailey used the ball as a prop and pretended to take a nap in the endzone. While clever, the NFL did not find it amusing and handed down a fine of $8,681 for the celebration.
The Rams were not penalized for Bailey’s celebration during the game. (using the ball as a prop is usually a 15 yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty).
