Quick Hit: Bears’ Kevin White out “extended period of time”

According to Ian Rapoport’s twitter, Bears receiver Kevin White to be out longer than expected after Sunday’s ankle injury. This injury comes just on the heels of White’s rookie season-ending injury that kept the receiver out for his entire 2015 season.

Per Rapoport, the tweet states “ players expect the ankle injury suffered by WR Kevin White to keep him out an extended period of time, I’m told. More bad news” (via @RapSheet)

White has played in all four of the Bears games this season, leaving early from this past Sunday’s game due to the ankle injury. Many thought this would be a break out season for the receiver, as it was expected for White to make the big plays he was known for during his time at West Virginia. In just one half of playing time, prior to the injury, White record six catches for 55 yards in the Bears’ victory over the Lions.

Now, however, it seems that White will be out indefinitely as there is not yet information on how extreme or severe his ankle injury is. While there has not been much news on the injury, one may fear that no news may not be such good news for the Bears receiver.
