MORGANTOWN, W.Va.–West Virginia University announced the signing of seven student-athletes on Wednesday and among those was a familiar face.

Former quarterback David Sills is returning to the Mountaineers as a wide receiver.

Sills played at El Camino College this season. He completed 127-of-237 passes for 1,636 yards and 15 touchdowns. The 6-foot-4, 210-pounder rushed for 258 yards on 96 carries for five touchdowns.

Before transferring, Sills took reps at wide receiver during the second half of the 2015 campaign. He finished with seven catches for 131 yards and two touchdowns in seven games.

Sills caught the game-winning touchdown pass against Arizona State last year in the Motel 6 Cactus Bowl.
