If you read our update on Kevin White’s injury from earlier this week, you might remember that his recovery from surgery to repair a broken shin is going well. He is currently on the Bears’ PUP list and is eligible to come off of it starting next Monday.

Today, the WVU football star was spotted doing some light work off to the side at Halas Hall in Bourbonnais near Chicago.

Head coach John Fox said that White “has made good progress” in his return from injury, but stopped short of placing a timeline on a possible return this season.

“The training staff, they’ve been doing a lot of indoor work,” Fox said. “Now he’s progressing to where he can get on the grass a little bit. He’s not been activated.”

He will be eligible to come off the PUP list on October 19th. The team can wait as long as November 23rd to make the decision as to whether to activate White for this season.
