Receiver James will play against Iowa State

Morgantown, W. Va. – During Coach Neal Brown’s Tuesday afternoon press conference, the head coach mentioned wide receiver Sam James would be “questionable” for Saturday’s Iowa State matchup. Thursday late afternoon the head coach gave an update that allowed fans to breathe a sigh of relief.

Same James will suit up and play versus the Iowa State Cyclones Saturday.

James is a true freshman wide receiver who was shaken up during the Homecoming loss to the Texas Longhorns. Both James and Sean Ryan stepped back from the game with injuries; Ryan’s resulting in surgery and a few weeks away from the game.

James has been an asset to West Virginia’s offense in the past several weeks, and will likely continue to improve and make plays throughout the later half of the season.
