Recruiting: ‘Eers Offer 2016 N.C. Linebacker

Ardrey Kell High School (NC) linebacker Julian Okwara recorded his 7th offer last week when West Virginia offered the 2016 prospect.

Okwara, 6-foot-3 and 210 pounds has offers from North Carolina, N.C. State, Wake Forest, Duke, Boston College, Vandy and WVU. Academics will play a big part when it becomes decision time, but Okwara has no favorites at this point.

When asked what stands out about the WVU offer, Okwara points to playing time.

“I’ve watched a couple games and some highlights,” he said.  “It seems like it’s a place to get early playing time.”

Okwara says he plans to take a trip to Morgantown, but that won’t happen until the spring or summer.

Rivals.com has Okwara rated a 3-star prospect.
