Recruiting: All Eyes On Whitney

Morgantown, W.Va. – With the dead period coming up for coaches across the country, the West Virginia University football staff has been putting a lot of miles on the road.

Fresh of a AutoZone Liberty Bowl invitation against Texas A&M, the Mountaineers are on the trail meeting with current commitments and those left on the board.

One of those prospects is wide receiver Issac Whitney.

Whitney, 6-4 and 195-pounds is fresh off a solid visit to USC over the weekend. Some felt a Trojan commit was on the table, but Whitney held off and will now visit West Virginia this weekend.

The Mountaineers are expected to put a full-court press on Whitney.

With the loss of Kevin White after this year, securing a big body on the outside is a priority for the coaching staff.

Whitney has narrowed his Top 3 down to West Virginia, USC and Washington State.

He is expected to announced his destination next week.

Whitney is rated a 3-star prospect according to
