2016 power forward Sagaba Konate confirmed with BGS this evening that he has verbally committed to West Virginia. The 6’8 220 3 star athlete out of Hermitage, Pennsylvania chose the Mountaineers over numerous schools including Pitt, Wichita State, and George Mason among others. Konate visited Morgantown on the 25th of September.

Konate becomes the third commitment for Huggins in the 2016 class and the first commitment outside the state of West Virginia. BGS will have a full interview with the newest Mountaineer in the coming days.

West Virginia natives Chase Harler from Wheeling and Brandon Knapper from Charleston have previously committed to WVU. However, Knapper will reclassify into the 2017 class after attending a year of JUCO.
