It may be cold outside, but it’s warm inside the Puskar Center where the West Virginia football staff is sending out 2016 & 2017 offers daily. With Junior Day right around the corner, WVU will look to get off to a fast start in the ’16 class.

Here are a list of prospects who received offers this week in our Recruiting Rundown.


2016 Offers

Marcus Simms, Sherwood High School (MD) – Simms, 6-foot-1 and 175 pounds is one of those players to watch. Simms will likely see his stock take off during the touring season. WVU, Pittsburgh and Toledo have offered. – BGS Rating * *

Christian Colon, Independence High School (NC) – Colon, 6-foot-3 and 310 pounds has offers from North Carolina, Notre Dame, Louisville, South Carolina, N.C. State and WVU. UNC is the leader early. – BGS Rating * * *

Jacob Robertson, Woodward Academy High School (GA) РRobertson, 6-foot-2 and 175 pounds received his WVU offfer on Friday. West Virginia joins Duke, Boston College, Louisville and Minnesota.  РBGS Rating * *

Tymar Sutton, McKeesport High School (PA) – Sutton, 6-foot-1 and 210 pounds received his first offer earlier this week, and it came from West Virginia. Pittsburgh, Penn State and Temple are also showing interest. – BGS Rating * * *

Deon McIntosh, Cardinal Gibbons High School (FL) – McIntosh, 5-foot-11 and 175 pounds has offers from Miami (FL), North Carolina, Notre Dame, Penn State, Tennessee, Wisconsin and WVU. The Canes are the leader at this point. – BGS Rating * * * *

Chauncey Gardner II, Cocoa High School (FL) – Gardner, 6-foot-1 and 194 pounds has offers from Florida, Miami (FL), Notre Dame, Ohio State, Florida State and WVU to name a few. The Irish are considered the leaders at this point. – BGS Rating * * * *

Henry Miller, Gateway High School (FL) – Miller, 6-foot-3 and 190 pounds has offers from Georgia Tech, Kentucky, Michigan State, Mississippi State, Oregon State and WVU to name a few. – BGS Rating * * *

Moe Neal, Forestview High School (NC) – Neil, 5-foot-11 and 160 pounds has offers from Mississippi State, Georgia Tech, N.C. State, Wake Forest and WVU to name a few. MSU is the early leader. – BGS Rating * * *

Keir Thomas, Miami Central High School (FL) – Thomas, 6-foot-2 and 240 pounds received an offer from WVU on Friday. Oregon State, Cincinnati and WVU have offered at this point with Miami (FL) and Georgia showing interest. – BGS Rating * * *

CJ Freeman, Northern Guilford High School (NC) – Freeman, 5-foot-11 and 185 pounds has offers from Virginia Tech, South Carolina and West Virginia with interest from Clemson, Florida State, Tennessee and Ohio State. Virginia Tech is the leader at this point. – BGS Rating * * *


2017 Offers

Aapri Washington, Southlake Christian Academy (NC) – Washington, 5-foot-9 and 160 pounds has offers from Ole Miss, Mississippi State, TCU, Wake Forest and WVU with Michigan, Tennessee and North Carolina showing interest. – BGS Rating * * *

J.T. Cauthen, Cuthbertson High School (NC) – Cauthen, 6-foot-2 and 200 pounds is considered an elite receiver in the 2017 class. Clemson, Tennessee, N.C. State, North Carolina, South Carolina and WVU are a few to offer at this point. Clemson looks to be the early favorite. – BGS Rating* * * *
