Report: Chase Connor to Transfer from WVU

BGS has learned that sophomore guard Chase Connor has decided to transfer from West Virginia University. Connor joined the WVU program as a preferred walk-on in 2013 and saw action in twelve games his freshman year. Chase played in 23 games for the Mountaineers this past season seeing an average of 5.3 minutes per game and 2.1 points per game.

Originally from Shady Spring, WV Chase was selected to the AAA All-state first team his senior season. He also led the state in scoring both his junior and senior years. As of the publication of this article it is unknown where he plans to transfer to.

Entering his junior season Chase had yet to be put on an athletic scholarship. Expect the Mountaineers to bring on additional walk-ons with Conners departure. Chase is the second player to transfer from the 2014-15 WVU team. Junior forward BillyDee Williams announced his intent to transfer earlier this month.
