Seattle, WA. – West Virginia alum Bruce Irvin has reunited with the Seattle Seahawks this season, playing in the team’s victory over the New England Patriots Sunday night. During Sunday night’s victory, the linebacker went down late in the game with an injury. Reports on Monday from ESPN’s Adam Schefter state the Seahawks are concerned the former Super Bowl champ to have suffered a torn ACL.
Later Monday afternoon, Irvin himself appeared on Twitter, further confirming the suspicions Schefter hinted at.
Ian Rapaport confirmed the news as well:
Irvin is the latest in an alarmingly long list of NFL players who have fallen to season-ending injuries in the first two weeks of the 2020-2021 NFL season.
