Shaq Riddick Heads To The Desert

Shaw Riddick may have only been at WVU for one season but his impact was felt by Mountaineer opponent’s and now he takes his unique skill to the Arizona Cardinals, who selected him 158th overall.

Riddick, 6’6 242lbs., transferred to WVU from Gardner-Webb for his final season of eligibility and made an immediate impact. Reddick recorded 6 sacks last season but was a consistent force with quarterback hurries last season.

Riddick was used as a DE at WVU but projects as a hybrid DE/OLB with the Cardinals, who are in need of pass rushers. Many felt that Riddick separated himself from other hybrid defensive players with his 4.6 40 at the WVU Pro Day but will need to add weight to deal with NFL tackles.
