Sherman named Big 12 Player of the Week for the second time

For the second time this season, West Virginia fifth year guard Taz Sherman was named Big 12 Player of the Week.

Sherman averaged 25 points in the two victories over No. 15 UConn and Kent State this week as well as 5.5 rebounds and 3 assists in those two contests. Sherman is currently second in the Big 12 in scoring and is sixth in the country, averaging 21.8 points per game.

Sherman and the Mountaineers have won six straight games and have two more games until the beginning of conference play.
