Skyler Howard to Start Liberty Bowl

WVU head coach stated today that Clint Trickett has not been cleared to play in the Liberty Bowl and that Skyler Howard will get the start. Holgorsen went on to say that Paul Millard would be available for long term relief if needed but would use Logan Moore in situations such as a helmet coming off.

Howard started one game for the Mountaineers this season leading WVU to a season ending win over Iowa State. Howard also saw time against Kansas St when Trickett was forced to leave with a concussion. This concussion unfortunately ended Trickett’s career at WVU as he will be a spectator on Monday in Memphis.

With Crest apparently not set to see any playing time under any circumstances his medical redshirt will stay intact affording him 4 more years of eligibility after this season. Likewise if Millard does not see any playing time expect to see him back next season as well.

The Mountaineers will face the Texas A&M Aggies Monday at 2 PM in the AutoZone Liberty Bowl in Memphis.
