Pittsburgh, PA. – Wendell Smallwood is the latest Mountaineer to carve out a space for himself in the NFL. Smallwood has signed a one-year contract with the Pittsburgh Steelers on Tuesday.
The running back is returning to Pennsylvania after a year with the Washington Redskins. Smallwood was drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles in 2016 and played three seasons with the Eagles.
Smallwood played in 15 games in Washington last season, having 22 carries for 81 yards and nine receptions for 64 yards.
