Stedman Bailey suspended for four games

News broke late this evening that former WVU receiver and current St Louis Rams receiver Stedman Bailey has been suspended 4 games for violation of the NFL’s substance abuse policy.

According to NFL insider Adam Schefter Bailey was allegedly suspended for marijuana use. This is the second time in two seasons Bailey has been suspended for violations of the league’s substance abuse policy. He was suspended two games last season.

Bailey will miss upcoming games against the Chicago Bears, Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals, and Arizona Cardinals.

He has played in all 8 games this season for the Rams accumulating 12 catches for 182 yards and one touchdown.

The Rams worked out Wes Welker today presumably to replace Bailey during his suspension.

Bailey is in his third year of a four year contract with the Rams.
