CLEVELAND, OHIO – (May 1, 2021) — WVU wide receiver TJ Simmons was not selected in the draft, but was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Simmons—an Alabama native—played at West Virginia after transferring into the program in 2017.
Simmons played 30 games at WVU – starting 21 of them. He totaled 1,197 yards, nine touchdowns, and averaged just under three receptions per game. Simmons was one of the most reliable receivers this past season and in only eight games, he led the Mountaineers with four touchdowns
Simmons will now head to Tampa Bay as he looks to begin his NFL career.
