Tshiebwe to explore NBA Draft option

Morgantown, W.VA. – Oscar Tshiebwe has without a doubt made a name for himself in the college basketball world over this past season. Tshiebwe’s name has been on many lists of outstanding freshman, players to watch and players who exceeded expectations. On Wednesday evening, Big O announced on Twitter that he is exploring his options with the NBA Draft.

Many armchair experts have reacted to this statement, but it is important to know that Tshiebwe is able to do this and still has the option of returning to West Virginia to grow, learn and continue to gain basketball experience under the guidance of head coach Bob Huggins.

Per West Virginia, Coach Huggins made the following statement: “Per NCAA rules, in order to gain feedback from people associated with the NBA, players are required to submit the necessary paperwork to request an evaluation. Oscar plans to do this while leaving open his option to return.”
