Day four of the Twelve Days of Mountaineers bring us to a more recent memory with National Signing Day that occurred two weeks ago.
WVU coach Neal Brown and his coaching staff brought in a historic 2021 class for the Mountaineers that features three-four stars in Wyatt Milum (OL), Kaden Prather (WR) and Jaylen Anderson (RB).
Milum is an in-state product from Huntington, WV, who played high school football at Spring Valley. The offensive lineman is the sixth-highest prospect in WVU history.
Prather is a top-40 ranked wide receiver in the country. The Maryland native recorded 844 yards as a junior.
Anderson is a running back from Massillon, OH who was the final four-star to sign his Letter of Intent to West Virginia University. The Ohio native is a top 10 player in the state.
The rest of the class is rounded out by talented prospects in Justin Johnson (RB), Will Crowder (QB), Andrew Wilson-Lamp (WR), Ja’Corey Hammett (LB), Aubrey Burks (S) and eight other high school seniors.
The staff has also had two international players to sign with WVU. Victor Wikstorm (Sweden) and Edward Vesterinen (Finland) are both players that can start a trend of European college football players.
The class of 2021 is ranked 38th in the country, and fourth in the Big 12.
This very well could be the class that gels well with Brown’s system and creates something special in Morgantown for the coming years.
