Another week of play in the USFL means more opportunities for some former Mountaineers to take the field.
Dravon Askew-Henry, S: New Jersey Generals
Dravon Askew-Henry came to play as the New Jersey Generals topped the Michigan Panthers 10-6 for their first win of the season. He was second on the team in total tackles with nine, but led in solo tackles with seven.
Marquis Lucas, OG: New Orleans Breakers
The Breakers dominated the Tampa Bay Bandits 34-3 on Sunday. Lucas got the start at right guard and played well. He held his own in the running game as the Breakers ran for 108 yards. He also kept a clean pocket for quarterback Kyle Sloter to throw for 416 yards and two touchdowns.
Keith Washington II, CB: New Orleans Breakers
The New Orleans defense barely gave the Bandits any room to breathe on offense. They only gave up 96 passing yards and 130 rushing yards. Washington finished the day with three total tackles and one solo. On one play late in the third quarter, Jordan Ta’amu overthrew his receiver. Washington was playing deep and laced out in an attempt to pick it off, but the ball was out of reach.
Mike Brown, OG: New Jersey Generals
Mike Brown was transferred to the inactive roster for the Generals on Friday and did not play this week.
Adam Shuler, EDGE/DE: Tampa Bay Bandits
Once again, Adam Shuler did not play for the Tampa Bay Bandits, but was not listed as inactive.
