Weekly MLB roundup

Jedd Gyorko- Gyorko hit his first home run of the season this week. He went 2-for-3 with a two-run blast and an additional RBI against the Chicago White Sox on Thursday. In seven games Gyorko is batting a .267 clip with three RBI.

John Means-Means was placed on the bereavement list on Wednesday after the death of his father Alan, who died of pancreatic cancer at the age of 57. Prior to that, Means’ second outing went better than his season debut. He tossed 4.2 innings, surrendering one run on two hits while issuing no walks.

Ryan McBroom- McBroom continued producing for the Kansas City Royals this week. On Friday night the first baseman delivered a solo home run, which provided the difference in the win over the Minnesota Twins. Through 12 games, McBroom is batting .267 with three RBI.
