West Virginia Announces a Popular Uniform for Kansas State Game

The 4-5 West Virginia Mountaineers have announced their uniforms for the upcoming game against the Kansas State Wildcats, and it’s a familiar one.

The Mountaineers will be wearing white helmets, white jerseys, and white pants, also known as the “stormtrooper” look.

This combination is pretty common for WVU, as it has been worn almost every year since the introduction of the white helmets in 2013.

Here’s a list of the times the Mountaineers have dawned the all-white look since 2013:

  • 2013 at Oklahoma (16-7 Oklahoma)
  • 2013 at TCU (30-27 WVU) (OT)
  • 2013 at Kansas (31-19 Kansas)
  • 2014 vs. Alabama (33-23 Alabama)
  • 2015 at Oklahoma (44-24 Oklahoma)
  • 2015 at Kansas State (Throwback helmets) (24-23 Kansas State)
  • 2016 at Iowa State (49-19 WVU)
  • 2017 vs. Virginia Tech (31-24 Virginia Tech)
  • 2018 at Iowa State (30-14 Iowa State)
  • 2019 at TCU (20-17 WVU)

WVU will bring back the all-white uniforms for the first time since 2019 on Saturday.  West Virginia and Kansas State will kick off at noon from Bill Snyder Family Stadium in Manhattan, Kansas.
