San Francisco, CA. – The San Francisco 49ers are becoming a West Coast hot spot for West Virginia football alums as the team has picked up two of West Virginia’s brightest stars on offense.
The 49ers are already home to NFL rookie Colton McKivitz and have just picked up both Kevin White and Tavon Austin in the off-season.
Austin is in his eighth season in the NFL, having plays for the St. Louis and Los Angeles Rams and the Dallas Cowboys over the years.
Kevin White is in his fifth season in the NFL, having previously played for the Chicago Bears and the Arizona Cardinals. White’s professional career has been riddled with injuries and will look to jump start his career again after a rough few years.
For West Virginia fans who don’t necessarily have a professional team they follow, it’s always fun to pull for a team with several Mountaineers on it and the 49ers look to be just that this fall.
