Women’s Basketball Unveils Nonconference Slate

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (Nov. 10, 2020) – West Virginia University Director of Athletics Shane Lyons announced the nonconference matchups for the 2020-21 Mountaineer women’s basketball season on Tuesday.

The Mountaineers open the season from Nov. 27-28 at the South Point Thanksgiving Shootout at the South Point Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. WVU begins the tournament with a matchup against Fresno State on Friday, Nov. 27, before concluding the weekend against LSU on Saturday, Nov. 28. WVU will open its home slate on Thursday, Dec. 3, against North Alabama, before welcoming Tennessee to Morgantown on Sunday, Dec. 6, for the Big 12/SEC Challenge.

Following its conference opener against Baylor on Dec. 10, West Virginia will host James Madison on Sunday, Dec. 13, at the WVU Coliseum.

After a short road trip to Oklahoma State on Dec. 18, the Mountaineers cap their nonconference slate at home with a pair of games before the holiday season. West Virginia welcomes Ohio to Morgantown on Sunday, Dec. 20, and Coppin State on Tuesday, Dec. 22.
