Daryl Worley was the wildcard of all the Mountaineers available in the NFL Draft and he is now the 2nd Mountaineer off the board as the Carolina Panthers traded up with the Cleveland Browns to select him with the 77th overall selection.

Worley left WVU after his junior season and was expected to get drafted but where was the question. Worley will head to Carolina where he will compete to fill the vacancy left by the departed Josh Norman who signed with the Redskins last week. Carolina is an excellent position for Worley given the pressure that their front 7 can apply to quarterbacks which allows their defensive backs the opportunity to make plays.

Worley visited the Panthers after his Pro Day at WVU and fell in love with the culture that Ron Rivera is building in Charlotte.
