WVU Adds Special Teams Specialist

Josh Lambert and Nick O’Toole have established themselves as one of the top kicker/punter combinations in college football but with their eligibility running out, O’Toole a senior and Lambert a junior, WVU has been searching for their replacement and tonight they may have discovered their answer.

WVU received a commitment from Jonn Young this evening , giving the Mountaineers 3 straight nights with commits. “Very happy to say I have committed to WVU on full scholarship. I’d like to say thank you to my coaches and my family”, Jonn announced on twitter this evening.

Young has had the Mountaineers at the top of his list ever since their offer given his ties to the program. Young’s parents are from the state and have brought him to WVU games since he was a little boy so when the Mountaineers offered, Young knew he wanted to come back home.

Young is currently attending Davie High School in Mocksville, NC where he is used as the kicker and punter. Young only held an offer from WVU but Clemson, Duke, Georgia, Florida State, and NC State were beginning to show interest.
