WVU Adds Cornerback To 2017 Class

The WVU football team continued the recruiting roll it’s been on the past couple weeks this afternoon with the commitment of CB DeAmonte King.

King, a 6’0 180 lbs. cornerback from St. Vincent-St. Mary (OH), will provide the Mountaineers with more depth in the defensive backfield next season. “I love the staff especially Coach Adams and Coach Crook, who were my recruiters throughout. The campus is nice and it’s a big time football school with a great fan base. It’s honestly always been a school I wanted to go to.”

King is a multiple sport athlete at St. Vincent-St. Mary, the same school that produced NBA star Lebron James. Being a member of the track team, King has the speed that is needed to cover the receivers that he will face in the Big 12 Conference.

King also tells BGS that he is done with his recruitment and is fully committed to the Mountaineers. Kings makes the eighth commitment in the 2017 class for the Mountaineers. According to King chose WVU over Toledo, Akron, and Boston College
