West Virginia returned to the Lone Star State this week in search of a running back for the 2016 recruiting class.960x540

That search has brought the Mountaineer coaching staff to Stratford High School (TX) and running back Rakeem Boyd.

Boyd, 5-foot-11 and 200 pounds has received offers from Nebraska, Duke, Colorado and Army while Texas, Baylor and Arkansas have interest.

JaJuan Seider is the lead recruiter for Boyd.

As a junior, Boyd finished with 194 rushes for 1,996 yards and 24 touchdowns.

Boyd is rated a 4-star prospect and ranked No. 275 in the ESPN 300. He plans to visit West Virginia at some point this summer.
