WVU basketball announces staff changes

MORGANTOWN, W.Va.–On Monday afternoon, West Virginia University basketball coach Bob Huggins announced two title changes and a new addition to his staff.

Josh Eilert has been a member of Mountaineer basketball for 11 seasons and will have a new title, Director of Basketball Operations. He spent the first six seasons as the Video Coordinator and the last four seasons as Coordinator of Basketball Operations.
Jay Kuntz will serve as an assistant to Huggins. He has been with the program for nine years, serving as Coordinator of Player Development the last two years and was a graduate assistant for three years and a four-year student manager from 2008-12.
The newest member of the WVU basketball family is a familiar face, James Long. The Charleston, W.Va. native was a member of the Mountaineer basketball team from 2015-17. Long graduated with a bachelor’s degree in finance in 2016 and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in sport management.
“All three of these individuals have had an integral part in the success of Mountaineer basketball,” Huggins said. “These changes open up tremendous opportunities for Josh, Jay and James, and I know they will take full advantage of their roles.”
