WVU basketball sets date for Gold-Blue Debut

MORGANTOWN, W.Va.–The 2015-16 West Virginia University basketball season is right around the corner, and the Mountaineers will kick off the season with the annual Gold-Blue Debut presented by Coke Zero on Saturday, Oct. 24, at 7 p.m. at the Coliseum.

Admission is free and the gates will open one-hour prior to tip off. The WVU football team is off that Saturday. They play TCU on Thursday night that week.

The Gold-Blue Debut is an officiated 30-minute game between the Gold and Blue teams.

Other activities are the introduction of the men’s players and staff, raising of the 2015 NCAA Sweet 16 banner, a speech from Bob Huggins and the evening will be capped off with an autograph session with the student-athletes.

Other events that evening include highlight videos and performances from the Mountaineer pep band, cheerleaders and dance team.

All parking at the Coliseum will be free of charge.
