WVU defense potentially take another hit

BGS has learned that highly recruited freshman linebacker Brendan Ferns suffered a knee injury Monday during practice. The extent of the injury is still unknown. According to Mike Casazza the team is now awaiting the results of an MRI.

However, BGS is told that Ferns may be “out” for an extended period of time. Ferns was the highest rated prospect in the Mountaineers 2016 recruiting class. The 6’2 228 lb Ferns had worked his way up the depth chart since coming onto campus and was currently second at the middle linebacker position.

There has been no official word from WVU on Ferns condition.
