WVU defensive end Larry Jefferson removed from roster after arrest

Following his arrest Tuesday evening WVU has removed redshirt senior defensive end Larry Jefferson from the team’s roster on Wednesday. Jefferson was charged with possession of marijuana and cocaine after being stopped in Morgantown Tuesday morning where he was found to have small amounts of cocaine and marijuana in his possession.

Jefferson joined the Mountaineers last season after transferring from Itawamba CC. Jefferson played in nine games last season totaling two tackles. He was not listed on the two deep depth chart WVU released two weeks ago. As of Thursday night there was no official word from WVU on Jefferson’s status.
