WVU Football’s The Reel Neal a mini social media Hard Knocks

Morgantown, W.VA. – In my opinion, HBO’s Hard Knocks peaked with the Cleveland Browns & Baker Mayfield rookie season two years ago. I’m also the first to admit a love of bad reality television, but I think COVID-19 will change that. I’m not going to want to relive the stress, emotions and uncertainty on my television in six months. HBO’s current season is on Los Angeles football and from the start it’s all COVID-19.

Enter the West Virginia football team’s Twitter account. With this new normal everyone is navigating through on a daily basis, major applause goes to West Virginia University’s media and film crews. The content helps to remind those watching, scrolling and reading that a new normal will happen and everyone will get through it.

Over the last few days, the football team’s social media accounts have rolled out mini videos a la Hard Knocks called “The Reel Neal” and it’s outstanding. Check out the first two episodes via Twitter below:
