MORGANTOWN, W.Va.–West Virginia University men’s basketball coach Bob Huggins announced tonight that senior Jonathan Holton has been suspended from the team indefinitely for a violation of team rules.

The 6-foot-7, 220-pound forward is averaging 9.7 points and 7.5 rebounds per game this season. He is 10th in the country in offensive rebounds.

Holton will reportedly miss three games starting this weekend against Florida. He will also miss two big conference games at Iowa State and at home against Baylor before being eligible to return when the Mountaineers travel to Kansas on February 9th.

Holton has been a key factor in many of the Mountaineers’ wins this season.
