West Virginia head coach Bob Huggins was ejected just over halfway through the first half of the Big 12 Quarterfinal game against Kansas on Thursday.
West Virginia got off to a bad start on offense, and when Taz Sherman drove to the basket he appeared to be fouled, before yelling at the referee. Sherman was given a technical, before Doug Sirmons assessed Huggins with two technical fouls for arguing with the call.
Kansas would make 5-of-6 free throws on the three technical fouls, and would take a 24-4 lead, with 9:59 to play in the first half.
Huggins has 916 wins all-time and is a finalist for the Class of 2022 Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.
