WVU Men’s Soccer Ranked in Top Five

After beating two teams ranked in the top-20 nationally, the West Virginia men’s soccer team ranked in the top-10 for all three major rankings, including being ranked within the top five in the official poll used by the NCAA.

West Virginia is ranked No. 5 in the United Soccer Coaches Poll, after not being ranked last week. West Virginia also ranked No. 9 in the College Soccer News poll and No. 10 in the Top Drawer Soccer Poll.

This rankings comes after West Virginia defeated No.3 Pitt 2-1 and No. 17 Penn State 3-1. The Mountaineers are currently 3-0-1, after a draw against Loyola (Md.), and host Ohio State this Friday.

West Virginia received 423 points in the United Soccer Coaches Poll, which was five points ahead of No. 6 Virginia Tech.
