WVU moves up in this week’s AP Top 25 Poll

MORGANTOWN, W.Va.— After defeating then-No.22 Texas Tech and Oklahoma State last week, West Virginia moved up five spots to No. 12 in this week’s AP Top 25 on Monday.

The Mountaineers moved up to No. 13 in the USA Today Coaches Poll.

Baylor jumped to No. 2 in the AP Poll after two impressive wins over the Red Raiders and Kansas. Gonzaga remains at the top, edging out the Bears by the narrow margin of 1,574 points to 1,567 points.

The Jayhawks dropped to No. 6.

With Saturday’s loss to WVU and a loss to Baylor earlier in the week, Texas Tech dropped one spot to No. 23.

The Mountaineers host TCU on Tuesday night at the Coliseum.
