WVU Pros on the Hardwood Report: WVU basketball players leading the way around the world

In this week’s Hardwood Report, we tell you how two former WVU basketball big men are having a good start to their seasons, and two backcourt players who helped lead their team’s to victory this past week. 

Joe Alexander, Sassari (Italy) – On Sunday, Alexander scored seven points in 32 minutes for Sassari in their loss to Brindisi.

Darryl Truck Bryant, Mens Sana (Italy) – Bryant was one of only two players on his team to score in double figures in Sana’s 68-60 win over Casale this past Sunday. He scored 16 points in the contest, adding four rebounds.

Da’Sean Butler, Ratiopharm (Germany) – Ratiopharm lost to Crailsheim 99-90. Butler scored 12 points in 23 minutes. Butler and Co. took Spirou to overtime on Wednesday, winning 86-80. Butler had five rebounds and two points in 20 minutes.

Alex Ruoff, Bilbao Basket (Spain) – Ruoff led the way for Bilbao in their win on Tuesday over Telekom with 12 points, five rebounds and three assists.

Deniz Kilicli, Istanbul (Turkey) – In his third pro season, Kilicli has moved into a starting role for Istanbul BSB. Last Saturday, they fell by one point, 91-90, to Demir IBB. The WVU big man had 15 points in 23 minutes.

D’or Fischer, Hapoel (Israel) – Fischer was very productive in his 16 minutes played off the bench on Wednesday, connecting on all five of his shot attempts, scoring 11 points and adding five rebounds and, of course, blocked one shot.
