WVU Receives 57 Votes in AP Poll

In the Associated Press weekly Top 25 college basketball poll, West Virginia received 57 votes this week, which would put them at 27th in the country.

West Virginia played only one game this week, coming back on the road and defeating UAB 65-59 on Saturday. The Mountaineers struggled early, but were able to figure things out late, and beat the Blazers.

The Big 12 currently has five teams inside the Top 25, with Oklahoma, West Virginia and Oklahoma State having received votes.

This week, West Virginia will host Youngstown State on Tuesday, with tipoff scheduled for 6 p.m., before West Virginia heads into conference play.
