MORGANTOWN, W.Va.– The 15th national seed West Virginia University baseball team faces No. 4 Fordham (38-22) in the Morgantown Regional at 8 p.m. (ET) on Friday, May 31 at Monongalia County Ballpark.
The Mountaineers (37-20) are hosting their first regional since 1955 and just the second team in history. On Friday afternoon, No.3 Duke (31-25) battles No. 2 Texas A&M (37-27-1).
The regional is a double-elimination competition.
WVU will be making its 13th NCAA Championship appearance in program history and hosting the event for the second time in team history. The Mountaineers, which earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Championship, will host a four-team NCAA Regional for the first time.
The Morgantown Regional winner with square off with the Nashville Regional winner in the Super Regionals.

Other Big 12 teams in the NCAA Tournament are Texas Tech, Oklahoma State, Baylor and TCU.
