WVU has been known for their attempt to bring the Pennsylvania talent to Morgantown and the latest offer is no exception. WVU has offered 2018 DB Kwantel Raines of Aliquippa High (PA) this afternoon.

Raines, 6’2 180 lbs. rising defensive back prospect has all the tools to be the next great player in the Aliquippa pipeline and WVU is hoping to land him. “Just to be able to get into college means more than anything to me so this is just a surreal moment for myself.” Given the WVU/Aliquippa pipeline, Raines is familiar with what WVU has to offer but also has a personal connection. “Dravon talks about it a lot and I am very close with his family so I get to hear a lot about it from them.”

It might be a little early in Raines recruitment but WVU is attempting to get an early start with the top talent in the 2018 class and given the familiarity between Raines and WVU, the Mountaineers seem to be in an excellent position to land what could be one of the top players in the 2018 class.
