
MORGANTOWN, W.Va.—West Virginia wide receiver Marcus Simms is entering his name in the NCAA transfer portal.
The 6-foot, 195-pound senior has spent the last three seasons with the Mountaineers.
During the 2018 season, Simms was the third-leading receiver for WVU with 46 catches for 699 yards and two touchdowns.
The Bowie, Md. native was a huge contributor on special teams. He led the team in punt returns with six returns for 58 yards, 9.7 yards per return average. He led the team in kickoff returns with 10 returns for 176 yards, averaging 17.6 yards per return with a long of 25 yards.
Simms played in 33 games with the Mountaineers, including 10 starts.
On Sunday night via Twitter, the wide out announced he was moving on to another chapter.

Simms has one year of eligibility remaining. He would have to sit out this season if he transfers to another FBS program unless he receives a waiver.
