In Week 7, we saw two more WVUPros fall to injuries (as of this writing, their status for next week is still unknown).
NY Giants 17 vs Rams 10
Tavon Austin scored the only touchdown for the Rams as they and the Giants played in England. Austin scored on an 11-yard strike over the middle in the first quarter. He finished with 10 receptions for 57 yards. Those 10 catches were the most for him in a single game in his NFL career.

Ravens 16 vs. NY Jets 24 Geno Smith made his first regular season start since Week 17 of the 2014 season when he had a perfect QB rating. Near the end of the first quarter, Smith connected with Quincy Enunwa on this 69-yard touchdown:
Midway through the second quarter, Smith was sacked on a third down and limped off the field. Trainers examined his right knee on the sideline before heading to the locker room for more tests. He did not return to the game, but was seen (standing) in street clothes on the sideline.
After the game, Jets’ head coach Todd Bowles said that Smith’s status is uncertain for next week and will undergo more tests. He finished 4/8 passing for 95 yards, a TD and a 132.8 QB rating. His receivers dropped several Smith passes.
It was our first extended look at Smith against starters (in other words, not in the preseason). He looked more patient. Not trying to force passes. He was slightly off on two of his throws, but both were catchable.
We will keep you updated on the status of his injury when we hear more.
Raiders 33 vs. Jaguars 16
The stats might not indicate it, but both Karl Joseph and Bruce Irvin made some great plays for the Raiders defense as they traveled across the country to play Jacksonville. Joseph was credited with three tackles and one pass breakup. He also almost intercepted a pass and had a stop near the goal line. Bruce Irvin had one tackle and got to Jags’ QB Blake Bortles once for a hit.
Vikings 10 vs. Eagles 21
Wendell Smallwood gained 13 yards on four carries for the Eagles as they knocked off the last unbeaten team in the NFL.
Colts 34 vs. Titans 26
Quinton Spain went down early in the game with a right knee injury for the Titans. For Indy, Pat McAfee punted four times for a 51-yard average.
Browns 17 vs. Bengals 31
Will Clarke finished with two tackles and one hit on the QB. Adam Pacman Jones had one tackle on defense, and returned one kickoff for 23 yards.
Buccaneers 34 vs. 49ers 17
Keith Tandy recovered a fumble in the Bucs win over the 49ers.
