Jevon Carter had a special night on Wednesday, as the former WVU star netted a career-high 36 points and 12 assists in the Bucks’ double overtime win at the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Carter has started every game for the Bucks this season with star guard Kris Middleton out with a wrist injury, but tonight, Carter had to step up even more with veteran guard Jrue Holiday out and two-time NBA MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo also out with knee soreness.

Carter shot 15-for-27 from the field, while connecting on five of 10 three-point attempts in 44 minutes.

In the first five minutes of the game, Carter knocked down four three-pointers, and finished the first half with 21 points while shooting 8-for-12 from the field.

Carter also proved his ability to score in the clutch, as the Maywood, Illinois native scored the first bucket of both overtime periods to give the Bucks momentum.

The Bucks now move to 10-1 on the season, and Carter may have earned himself a more prominent role as the season progresses.
