WVU’s Cowan questionable for Saturday

MORGANTOWN, W.Va.–West Virginia’s VanDarius Cowan suffered a leg injury against Oklahoma State and his status is unknown for Saturday’s game versus Baylor.

The redshirt junior twisted his leg awkwardly on the sack to Cowboys’ quarterback Shane Illingworth.

“VanDarius would be the one that is questionable,” Head coach Neal Brown said on Tuesday. “He got hurt on the sack. He’d be questionable going into the game on Saturday.”

The 6-foot-4, 240-pound linebacker had a sack, a tackle and assisted on a tackle for a loss before getting injured last week.

Cowan missed most of 2019 due to a four-game suspension and a season-ending knee injury suffered against Iowa State.
