WVU’s Holgorsen verifies Crest to redshirt

WVU head coach Dana Holgorsen verified tonight during his weekly radio show from Keglers that William Crest will be redshirted this season. Crest, who injured his shoulder during practice a few weeks ago, has not suited up since the Towson game where he saw his first playing time as a Mountaineer. Holgorsen went on to say that Crest only starting throwing again this week and he will see no more playing this season.

Moving forward the depth chart will consist of Trickett at one, Howard at two, and presumably Millard at three. There has also been talk of redshirting Millard to ensure there is an experienced QB on the team next season. As of right now this will give WVU three QB’s with four years elgibility next season with William Crest and incoming freshmen David Sills and Chris Chugunov.
